But the biggest obstacle I feel behind people making new friends... is the fact that people protect their safety walls... a perfectly normal guy or girl can approach someone and say "hello, how's it going? how is your day?" and have the most absolutely innocent and pure intentions but the responses from the listener would very well vary from flat out ignoring the person to striking up a conversation. 

Now perhaps some people just like being left alone. Perhaps people want to keep focus on what they're doing and don't really want to meet and talk with new people. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, and I find myself like this sometimes too.

But I have a sneaky suspicion that more often than not... people are just not open to meeting new people on the fly.. on the streets, on the bus, at the coffee shop.. etc.

Now granted you have "game" or you're "smooth," you can easily talk with new people with ease.. but let's face it.. not many of us (myself included) possess that game. And our intentions are just the same, if not more sincere. 

So what can you do? 

I'll be honest with you. I don't know. 

I'm hoping that this site will be the first step we can all take.. in just being open to saying hi to someone new.
